Leamington Spa-based independent energy consulting engineers Encraft has recruited Tahera Singleton as its sustainability consultant.

Ms Singleton moved from Germany to the UK four years ago, specialising in the renewable energy sector and in particular, photovoltaic systems.

She worked on high-profile developments in the City of London, Kuwait and the UAE, designing bespoke photovoltaic systems as well as standard applications on smaller projects in and around London.

Ms Singleton also worked on the assessment of private and community housing developments in London, provided additional consulting work during the design stage of developments regarding passive solar design measures and on assessments for a number of schools in Kent as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme.

Tahera Singletons’ qualifications are Diplom-Meteorologin from University of Hanover, Germany; Graduate Diploma (Hons) in Antarctic & Southern Ocean Studies from University of Tasmania, Australia; European MSc in Renewable Energy from Loughborough University, UK.

She is also an assessor for EcoHomes, BREEAM Schools and the Code for Sustainable Homes.
