Peugeot has announced a change at the top of its UK management team.

The French carmaker, whose UK sales and marketing operation is based at Coventry, said Pierre Louis Colin, who has been managing director for Peugeot in the UK for just over three years, is moving to Paris. He will head the newly-created division in charge of developing both the strategy and the programmes for the next generation of electric and diesel-hybrid vehicles.

He will be replaced from June 1 by Jonathan Goodman (above), who joined the company in 1986 and who has worked in both the UK and elsewhere in Europe.

His roles have included taking charge of MPV product planning and being responsible for the relationships of a number of central European Peugeot companies with the Paris centre.

Mr Goodman returned to the UK in 2002 to become marketing director for Peugeot UK and in 2005 was made director of corporate communications for parent group PSA based in London.

Since 2007, he has been the managing director for Peugeot Belgium and Luxembourg.
