West Midlands firm LG Harris – one of Europe’s biggest and best known manufacturers of paint brushes and decorating equipment – has strengthened its market position after acquiring the John Palmer Brush Company for an undisclosed sum.

Included among the brands to be acquired from the Norfolk-based company is the Victory range of quality brooms and brushes, which have a pedigree dating back over 100 years.

Gary Jordan, LG Harris managing director, said: “We are delighted to announce the addition of the Victory range to our portfolio. The acquisition of such a quality housewares brand has further broadened our branded product offering in this sector and is a logical range enhancement, plus a fantastic fit for us.”

The existing products will be re-branded ‘Harris Victory’.

LG Harris, will distribute the acquired product lines from its Midlands base, in Bromsgrove.

Mr Jordan, added: “Our intention is to provide customers with a seamless transition between owners. Our customers will now have access to a comprehensive selection of competitively priced housewares, alongside our market leading decorating sundries range.’’
