Green power group ENER-G has appointed five senior managers to drive an ambitious UK and international expansion programme.

The appointments are part of plans for international expansion at the energy management division (EMD) of the Studley-based firm.

EMD, led by Dr Cedric Rodrigues, currently employs more than 100 staff in Studley, Manchester, and Hungary, with offices opening shortly in Holland and Poland.

Against the current recessionary trend, a total of 25 new people been recruited to support the expansion. Turnover is on course to rise by 20 per cent this financial year, with aggressive growth plans and further international expansion in 2011 and 2012.

Mike Langan has been appointed general manager of the firm’s consultancy division CMR Consultants, Steven Jeffers has been promoted to general manager of ENER-G Efficiency, Mark Alston has joined from Centrica to lead the newly-created procurement business, the ENER-G Metering and Data Solutions business is headed by Stephen Walshaw, and ENER-G Controls has appointed Gary Dowsett as director of business development and marketing

Dr Rodrigues said: “With these improvements, we are now operating as highly focused businesses to address the changing dynamics of the market place, as well as to more closely align our capabilities, strengths and resources with our products and services to meet our customers’ immediate needs and future aspirations.”
