Stourbridge-based roll-form specialist Formit has completed the installation of two roll-forming lines at a factory belonging to the UK's leading manufacturer of garage doors.
The two lines at the works of PC Henderson in Durham produce garage doors and separate chassis frameworks for the building industry.
Each garage door is produced individually and is controlled by the mainframe computer which then assembles the framework from the various parts.
The finished panels are then transferred to an assembly station where the chassis is waiting and spot welded into the frame.
PC Henderson managing director Vicky Brockley said: "The equipment Formit produced is fantastic. It is now producing our new range of doors which will secure the future of this business for a very long time to come."
Formit managing director Jim Bain added: "It has been a pleasure to work with PC Henderson. The help and support of their implementation team contributed towards this outcome and we are proud that this roll former has been so successful."
Formit specialises in roll-forming technology and designs and manufactures complete turnkey production lines as well as press feeding and coil processing equipment.
