Electrode manufacturing specialist Erodex has revealed record annual sales of £13.3 million and has set its sights on further expansion in the aerospace sector.
Halesowen-based Erodex (UK) saw its sales increase from £11.5 million year-on-year after spending heavily on machinery. And after completing the accreditation to SC21 – 21st century supply chains – directors are hatching growth plans.
Director John Rolinson said: “As a business serving the aerospace sector, SC21 proves we are committed to operational excellence, lean principles and increased competitiveness through the delivery of leadership, innovation, through-life solutions and ethical practices.”
Mr Rolinson said Erodex had been involved with an ongoing programme of investment including a recent £700,000 outlay. He said such initiatives helped Erodex achieve a record year in 2011, with this year promising to be even better, as the firm is on course for 15 per cent growth.
