EADS chief executive Louis Gallois has said the company’s Airbus plane maker is on track, or in some areas ahead, on the cost-cutting targets it has set as part of its Power8 restructuring plan.

In terms of job cuts, Mr Gallois said EADS has achieved 60 per cent of its target in the UK, 55 per cent in Spain, 42 per cent at its headquarters, 39 per cent in the rest of France and 23 per cent in Germany.
