A radiator manufacturer is hoping to turn up the heat on its competitors after expanding and relocating to the Midlands.
Danish firm Ribe Jernindustri has been operating in the UK since 1974 and has just relocated its successful operation from Walton-on-Thames, in Surrey, to Coventry’s Cyan Park.
Company bosses at the firm, which employs 18 people, made the decision to move to a brand new 27,866 sq ft unit at the Phoenix Way site to back up ambitious expansion plans. Ribe Jernindustri, which mainly provides heating products to the public sector, set about finding a new larger base that would allow the company to store large amounts of stock themselves rather than paying a third party to do so.
Commercial property specialists D&P Holt worked as joint agents with Colliers CRE to recommend Unit 5 at Cyan Park to company bosses and ultimately help bring the Danish operation to the city. The move has also resulted in the creation of three jobs in the area.
James Key, national sales manager for Ribe Jerindustri, said he was delighted with the move since the firm switched location before the New Year.
“The new premises are fantastic and perfect for providing the extra storage space we needed so much,” he said. “The central location of Coventry, and easy access to the transport network, make this an ideal location for distributing products around the country.”
Rupert Gillitt, a director at D&P Holt, said: “We were delighted to be able to help bring a successful company such as Ribe Jernindustri to the area.
“We know that Coventry is very well located and that is a large selling point for the city, but you also need the accommodation to back that up, and Cyan Park fits the bill perfectly.”
