Coventry Transport Museum has awarded a contract for a major extension and refurbishment to Mansell's Western Region based in Stourbridge.
The project, at the museum in Millennium Place, Hales Street, is valued at more than £ 3 million.
The work involves refurbishment on the ground and first floors and an extension.
Mansell has gained a reputation as a museum specialist, having completed big projects at the tile museum in Ironbridge and the Elgar Birthplace museum in Worcester, among others.
The job is the first project to be led by Mansell's new regional head of interiors, Andy Price.
