A special relationship between construction company Mansell and a West Bromwich primary school has been cemented with the refurbishment of a mobile classroom.
The Stourbridge-based Western region of Mansell donated labour and materials to refurbish the classroom at Harvills Hawthorn Primary School in Wolseley Road.
Mansell’s Partnership Housing division is involved in a major house building and improvement project as part of the Sandwell Pathfinder PFI scheme with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and Riverside Housing Association. Harvills Hawthorn Primary School is local to the area where the work is taking place.
Head teacher Mr McNeil said the classroom now looks incredible. He said: “It will provide an excellent base for community activities, meetings, and for the children’s breakfast club. I have received many positive comments from children, parents and staff, not only about the quality of the work, but about the way the Mansell staff conducted themselves when in school. They were polite and sensitive the needs of the children at all times.”
