Warwickshire law firm Lodders has appointed Liz Fairs to strengthen and build up the residential conveyancing team at the firm's Henley-in-Arden office.

She will be liaising with estate agents and their clients to ensure that house sales and purchases proceed as smoothly as possible.

Ms Fairs joins from the Nuneaton office of Birmingham-based law firm Blakemores following years of experience in residential property law in the West Midlands, Stockport and Cambridge.

Previously, she also worked in the area of civil litigation for a ten year period between 1991 and 2001. Frances Lees, head of residential conveyancing at Lodders, said: "From our headquarters in Stratford-upon-Avon, we support our convey-ancers in our Henley and Shipston-on-Stour offices, but there is no substitute for someone on the ground to ensure that our clients and our professional contacts receive a first class, face-to-face service. Henley is a very important area to us."

Ms Fairs said: "I am delighted to have joined Lodders which enjoys a long and well established reputation, backed up by modern technology and resources."
