Lisa Greenway, account director at WAA in Sutton Coldfield, is the new chairman of the Publicity Association of Central England.

Ms Greenaway takes over from freelance marketing communications consultant Sally Edwards, who has held the post for the past year.

Paul Fairburn, managing director Chrysalis Radio in the Midlands, remains PACE president and Caroline Chell, recently appointed to the marketing department of BRMB, takes over the role of vice chairman from Lisa. Nicola Evans of One Marketing will continue to run the secretariat.

PACE is the forum for personal and professional development, networking and socialising for communications professionals in the Midlands.

"We are continually striving to improve our offering to members," says Lisa. "Our aim for 2005 will be to continue to grow our varied events programme with a key push towards training."

Pace's education and training programme is being spearheaded by Mr Fairburn, who has commissioned research into the industry's needs.

"There is no other organisation which offers something for everyone in marketing communications and media," he says.

"We are committed to running training courses and events of interest whether you're a freelance photographer, an account director or head of a local radio station."
