Birmingham-based Liquidity, the fast growing sales finance company, is aiming to help West Midland businesses to collect cash faster from their debtors.
The new service is launched at what is probably the most difficult time in the calendar for cash collections - around the turn of the year and into January.
Paul Housley, Liquidity's head of operations who leads the credit control team, said: "Businesses can find orders and schedules cut back in December and some respond to such difficulties by slowing down their own payments. This can impact harshly on businesses in our region."
Liquidity has a track record of collecting cash for its sales finance customers and it has now branched out to help other businesses, too.
Mr Housley, who leads a new team of Victoria Rose, Joanne Dodd and Margaret Payne, says Liquidity's independent credit control arm already has some clients on board and an initiative is now being launched to target a wide range of firms.
He said: "We find that many companies with annual sales below £10 million lack the resource to undertake credit control effectively themselves and good systems and an experienced and focused team can bring a real boost for cash collections.
"For individual companies, dedicated resources, including specialist credit controllers, are costly and the option of outsourcing credit control has an economic merit to it.
"Collecting cash from debtors is at the heart of our sales finance business. For some clients we have been able to effectively halve the cash tied up in debtors. We are in a position to adapt our service to work within the client's own culture."
