Local solicitors have thrown down a challenge to the public to get their affairs in order – and they are putting their money where their mouth is under the Will Aid scheme.

During the month of November, participating solicitors are drawing up basic wills and, rather than charging a fee, invite clients to donate to the Will Aid group of charities.

The suggested donation is £75 for a single will and £110 for a pair of mirror wills. All the money goes to nine UK charities to support their work with people in need here and around the world. According to the latest Will Aid research more than 60 per cent of British people do not have a will.
