National law firm Weightmans, which has an office in Birmingham, has joined 57 other companies across the country to be certified as one of Britain’s Top Employers for 2011 in the annual assessment by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) Institute.

The CRF Institute commended the firm’s relaxed and friendly environment, approachable management teams and positive feedback with regards to work-life balance and well-being.

Weightmans’ head of HR and development Sam Airey said: “As a business we believe that the success of our people is key, so this recognition is very important to us.”

Companies were judged on the basis of their scores in five HR-related areas: primary benefits, secondary benefits and working conditions, training and development, career development, and company culture.

The accolade is the latest in a series for the firm, which was ranked in the Diversity League Table in 2010 and was also mentioned in the Best Companies Survey 2010.
