Nominations for this year's Birmingham & West Midlands Society of Chartered Accountants Awards have been flooding in.
Now in its fourth year, the aim is to recognise and promote the breadth of talent within the region's accountancy profession, as well as providing a platform to reward those firms and individuals that have a chieved the most throughout the year.
Participants will be battling it out in a number of award categories, including Trainee Chartered Accountant of the Year, Young Chartered Accountant of the Year, Accountancy Firm of the Year (11 plus partners), Accountancy Firm of the Year (up to ten partners), Accountant in Business (small enterprise), Accountant in Business (medium enterprise), Accountant in Business (large enterprise), and the Everybody Counts Award.
The winners will be announced on April 7 at the International Convention Centre, attended by more than 400 people.
John Kelly, chairman of the BWMSCA awards committee, said: "We have been inundated with nominations which promise to be bigger and better than last year's. However, we would still like to encourage those that haven't already nominated to do so as there is still time to get entries in.
"Once all the nominations have been received the judging panel will whittle them down into a final shortlist, which will be announced soon."
Celebrity guest is rock star and keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman.
