Black Country law firm George Green has advised West Midland van company Guest Trucks on the purchase of three franchises to distribute Iveco vehicles from TC Harrison for an undisclosed sum.
It means the firm now has three new sites in Peterborough, Cambridge and Boston. Guest Trucks already has Iveco and and Fiat commercial vehicle dealerships in Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton and also opened a dedicated Iveco facility in Leicester on April 1 this year.
The new outlets will mean the firm will be taking on 37 employees from TC Harris.
The eight-strong network will support the main dealership and head office in Kenrick Way, West-Bromwich.
Robert Spittle, the division managing director of Guest Trucks, said: "Our relationship with Iveco dates back to 1986, during which time we’ve established Guest Trucks as one of the most respected commercial vehicle dealers in the Midlands."
"This continued growth is a natural step forward for the company and re-affirms our commitment to the Iveco brand. It’s testament to the hard work of our 280 staff that the business is in a position to keep pushing our boundaries further," he adds.
The property elements to the deal were handled by George Green commercial real estate associate Nirmla Rabani.
Corporate asociate Philip Round, who advised Guest Trucks, said "I enjoyed working with the Guest Motors group on its latest expansion.
"This is a key strategic acquisition for one of the best-known names in the Midlands motor industry, and a valued client. The additional dedicated commercial vehicle centres enable Guest Trucks to provide its brand of excellent customer service across an even wider area."
Guest Trucks’ parent company, Guest Motors, has strong ties with the Fiat Group and has been an Alfa Romeo dealer in Solihull and Wolverhampton since 2003.
It also opened its first Fiat Auto dealership in August 2009 in Wolverhampton and sells the Fiat Professional range from its four original Iveco sites in the West Midlands.
