Midland law firm Thursfields has partnered with Birmingham Metropolitan College to deliver “guru” lectures to students who are part of its Professional Services Academy based in Kidderminster and Stourbridge and are aspiring to careers in business and law.

The aim of the academy is to equip students for the world of work and encourage local jobs growth.

Thursfields has a dedicated education team that provides advice on a range of sector-specific challenges, from advising an institution on its commercial property portfolio, providing debt recovery services to an independent school and guiding a college through a workforce restructuring programme.

Suzie Branch, director at Professional Services Academy, said: “We are pleased to partner with Thursfields as they understand our sector and what we are seeking to achieve in developing high quality and employment-ready students for the local economy.”

Thursfields’ education team is led by Lauren Hartigan-Pritchard, who worked for Ofsted before qualifying as a solicitor.
