Warwickshire law firm Alsters Kelley has welcomed three new additions. The assistant solicitors and legal secretary have been taken on to help with the increased workload in the family department.

Assistant solicitor Stephen Outhwaite has spent five years working in publicly-funded private law while Jackie Cheung has developed extensive knowledge in all aspects of Asian divorce and financial settlements since qualifying as a solicitor in 2006.

Erica Kemp, head of the family department at Alsters Kelley, said: “Stephen and Jackie are bringing valuable skills to the department. Stephen has practiced law on both sides of the Atlantic and has gained valuable insight into a vast range of problems experienced by clients. Jackie has worked closely with victims of domestic violence at a women’s refuge and represented a number of them who later sought action against their abusive partners.

“Their experiences are extremely valuable to many of our clients who are looking for first hand assurance that they are not alone.”

Legal secretary Lesley Rowland has also been recruited to provide administrative support.
