Midland law firm mfg Solicitors has appointed a specialist solicitor to its contentious probate team.

Andrew Chandler, who is experienced in a range of matters including validity of wills and fraud claims, has joined from the Birmingham office of DAC Beachcroft.

The 30-year-old is the latest face to be added to mfg’s 12-strong litigation division and will work with partners Robert Weston and Suzanne Lee, dealing with disputed trusts, wills and estates matters.

Mr Weston said: “Andrew has built himself a superb reputation in recent years after working on a number of successful intricate cases.

“He will be a real asset to mfg in the months and years ahead. He has the qualities required to help us maintain the growth of our contentious probate team and to help us retain our top tier Legal 500 status.”

Mr Chandler said: “At this stage of my career I am delighted to be joining mfg Solicitors and such a respected team of people.

“I am looking forward to helping our clients across the country to resolve what can be particularly challenging and complex disputes.”

Mr Chandler becomes the second new solicitor to join mfg’s litigation team in the past six months, following the appointment of land and property dispute expert Sarah Coyne, who re-joined the firm after a 10-year career break.
