An international law firm with Birmingham roots has announced a hat trick of promotions at its city office.
Claire Darley has become a partner in SGH Martineau’s family team in the private capital department, Marie Kilgallen has been promoted to associate in the private client team and Kareem Baig has been promoted to senior associate in the real estate group’s banking and support team.
Ms Darley deals with all aspects of family law including divorce, financial relief and disputes relating to children.
She joined the firm three years ago as a senior associate and during the last year has demonstrated a flair for client care, technical expertise and delivery.
Ms Kilgallen has proven experience in ancillary relief cases and matters relating to the Children Act.
And Mr Baig joined the firm five years ago with hands-on commercial property experience and has since grown from strength to strength.
Managing partner Bill Barker said: “People are promoted at SGH Martineau as a result of their knowledge, expertise, ability to consistently deliver work of a high standard and impressive levels of client satisfaction.
“All three of these promotions are based on these challenging criteria and as such, are richly deserved.”
Ms Darley also specialises in contentious probate cases arising from inheritance claims, a niche area in which she has significant experience.
She also has experience in dealing with high net worth individuals with particular experience in pre and post-nuptial, cohabitation and parental responsibility agreements.
