Birmingham-based Russell Jones & Walker has appointed two new solicitors to its personal injury team.

Lucinda Soon and Farayha Muquit both have personal injury expertise which will boost an already strong team, headed by managing partner Richard Langton.

Ms Soon, who graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2002 and qualified as a solicitor in 2009, is a specialist in legislation related to disease litigation, including asbestos exposure and noise-induced injury.

She said: “I have always been aware of the firm’s strong reputation in the field of personal injury, so I’m delighted to now be a part of RJW.”

Born and bred in Birmingham, Ms Muquit studied at Coventry University and has worked for a number of legal practices where she developed an expertise in various aspects of personal injury including road traffic accidents and liability legislation.

She said: “I had been eager to work as part of a larger, national firm after working for smaller teams since I left Birmingham’s College of Law in 2003.

“I’m delighted to be in a role that will draw upon my experience whilst giving me an insight into how cases can be developed over a larger network of law professionals.”
