Shoosmiths has announced six promotions at its Birmingham office, to take effect from May 1.

Made up to senior associate are: Emma Dolphin (corporate); Robert Laugharne (corporate); Aaron Harlow (restructuring and insolvency); Hayley Saunders (regulatory); Erica Simpson (commercial litigation); and Joe Stephenson (IT and outsourcing).

The six new Birmingham-based senior associates are among 22 promotions in total at the national law firm which also includes six partners.

Partner and head of office Jason Jackson said: “What a fantastic way to begin the new financial year – six promotions at our Birmingham office.

“We’ve been fortunate enough to have enjoyed a number of highlights in the last 12 months, and are also looking forward to moving to our new offices at Two Colmore Square.

“Our focus remains very much on client relationships – enhancing the existing and welcoming the new – as well as building on our growing reputation in our specialist markets.

“These promotions are fully deserved and draw attention to the ongoing hard work and expertise our teams continue to provide to our clients in what remains a challenging economic climate.”

This is the third year Shoosmiths has promoted to senior associate level, which was created in 2011 to recognise the responsibilities taken on by many of the firm’s experienced associates.
