Office refurbishment and fit out firm Overbury has worked with Midland solicitors Higgs & Sons on the development of new office space for 50 members of staff as part of an ongoing growth plan.

Overbury were tasked with managing the £300,000 fit out of the new 8,880 sq ft office space located at The Waterfront, in Brierley Hill, following the refurbishment of Higgs & Sons' head office at Waterfront Business Park in 2010.

The project saw Overbury tasked with delivering a scheme that capitalised on elements from the previous project including flexible furniture suites and an open plan floor plate.

Bridge House will provide additional office space for Higgs & Sons which has experienced four consecutive years of double-digit growth.

A total of 56 workstations were created alongside substantial seminar and training space, centralised meeting rooms for ease of access to all staff as well as a kitchen and dinning area.

Higgs' managing partner Paul Hunt said: "This is an important development in our long-term business growth strategy and will facilitate further development of our client services."

Michele Clifton, account manager at Overbury's Birmingham office, said: "2014 is proving to be a prosperous year for Overbury with us not only welcoming new clients but also the return of old ones with a range of exciting projects.

"Higgs & Sons provided us with a refreshing brief of not overloading the floor plate whilst building in a great deal of future flexibility, leading to the creation of an airy feel to the scheme where staff can work in comfort and have an opportunity to socialise and interact throughout the day."
