Sydney Mitchell has promoted Leanne Schneider-Rose to partner in its dispute resolution and insolvency team.

Ms Schneider-Rose has helped businesses and individuals over the past five years through the downturn, providing advice and financial guidance when their business has faced difficulties.

She also assists banks in asset recovery and insolvency practitioners in the insolvency process generally leading to the recovery and sale of assets.

Ms Schneider-Rose said: “I am really looking forward to growing and developing our commercial and private services, helping both commercial and individual clients through these economic times.”

Ms Schneider-Rose, who lives in Germany and works in Birmingham, is currently involved with the Frankfurt Law Society, together with John Irving, commercial partner at Sydney Mitchell in delivering a seminar to legal professionals on the business structure options when setting up firms in the UK.

With knowledge of the way in which systems work in Germany; she often assists insolvency practitioners who have been appointed as trustees in bankruptcy of a German national, in investigating assets that may be outside of the UK but situated in Germany.
