A Birmingham-based partner of national personal injury and group litigation specialists Russell Jones & Walker has been shortlisted in the 2010 Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards.

ABirmingham-based partner of national personal injury and group litigation specialists Russell Jones & Walker has been shortlisted in the 2010 Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards.

Richard Langton is a contender in the PI Lawyer of the Year category following a high-profile year for the firm.

Hejoined the office 26 years ago and has spearheaded several major cases, including, in the past 12 months, driving the toxic sofas cases as lead litigator in the largest consumer group litigation in legal history.

Hiscampaigning work on behalf of the family of Cerys Matthews resulted in a meeting with Jack Straw MP and a change in sentencing and Richard also leads the Maclaren buggies cases, another ongoing group action.

Thewinners will be revealed at a ceremony and dinner, hosted by Have I Got News For You comedian Fred MacAulay, attended by 400 PI professionals at The Millennium Mayfair Hotel next month.
