Headquartered in Birmingham, No5 also has offices in London Bristol, and the East Midlands.

Practice director Tony McDaid said:  "I am very proud and excited that No5 has been shortlisted for this prestigious award.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the expertise and commitment to excellence they deploy and demonstrate each and every day, which has doubtlessly given rise to No5 being shortlisted."

Winners of The Lawyer Awards will be announced at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane on June 25.

Mr McDaid added: "The Lawyer does not simply rely on award entry submissions to make its judgment, rather the emphasis is upon the research it compiles and surveys it conducts of chambers' clients, namely lawyers and their clients in the main.

"We are in exalted company on the shortlist and I believe that our presence is recognition of No5’s business model, founded upon attracting stellar barristers and rising stars and supporting their success with outstanding clerking.

"I am particularly proud that being shortlisted is also another positive boost for the growing reputation of the Birmingham professional services sector."
