Staff at Halesowen chartered accountants Nicklin are strengthening their expertise by becoming qualified financial planners.
It follows the launch of Nicklin's new financial services company English Mutual (Halesowen).
Ten of the firm's auditing and taxation staff are involved - Liz Bullock, Tom Noonan, Daljit Dheri and Sarah Barratt have been awarded Financial Planning Certificates and a further six are working towards it.
The new service offers independent financial advice.
English Mutual (Halesowen) has access to over 30,000 life assurance, pension and investment products for both individual and corporate clients.
Nicklin partner Harvey Owen said: "We pride ourselves on knowing what our clients require even before they do and financial planning is becoming ever more important, whether the client is an individual or a company. The arrival of English Mutual (Halesowen) is a natural extension of the value and service we offer to our clients.
"As part of our continuous training programme for all staff, it is important for them to fully understand the range of financial products we provide."
