Irwin Mitchell has appointed specialist wills, trusts and estates disputes partner Gavin Faber.

Mr Faber joins Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office’s wills, trusts and estates disputes team led by Paula Myers who joined the firm earlier in 2014.

He makes the move from Higgs and Sons Solicitors and is a litigator who works on behalf of people involved in problems with wills and trusts.

Mr Faber is an affiliate member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds the STEP Advanced Certificate in trust disputes.

He is one of the few full members of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists in the West Midlands.

In addition he is also a member of the Property Litigation Association, the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and the Birmingham Law Society Dispute Resolution Committee.

Over the past year Irwin Mitchell has acquired specialist personal injury practice MPH Solicitors and opened two new offices in Cambridge and Southampton as the firm seeks to grow its personal legal services business.

Ms Myers said: “Gavin is an experienced litigation lawyer and his appointment enables us to grow our specialist will disputes service in the Midlands region.

“Our team has been ranked number one in the recent independent Legal 500 guide and we are delighted that Gavin is joining us so that we can help more people to resolve their disputes.”
