Reilly & Co, which was established in January in Edgbaston, has already acquired Hall Green law firm, Williams Freeman & Lloyd.
Kevin Reilly, who spent most of his career as a solicitor in the Solihull area before forming Reilly & Co, said the opportunity arose following the death of Jim Waters, the well-known and respected proprietor of Williams Freeman & Lloyd.
Mr Reilly said: “We had actively been looking for opportunities that would allow us to strengthen the breadth and depth of the services we could offer our clients. This acquisition will further strengthen that range of services and build on the legacy that Mr Waters left behind.”
Mr Reilly said that Reilly & Co, which has four lawyers and is based at Bank Chambers, 1490 Stratford Road, Hall Green, had not ruled out the possibility of further acquisitions being made.
Prime Chartered Accountants, which has offices in Solihull and Coventry, assisted Reilly & Co is assessing the financial viability of the acquisition and the due diligence.
Prime partner Kevin Johns said: “The acquisition represented a perfect fit with Reilly & Co’s strategy to offer a comprehensive range of legal services. With their focus on client service, their comprehensive expertise and their approachability, they look set for great success.”
