An intellectual property lawyer has joined the Birmingham office of Cobbetts as a partner, boosting its intellectual property group.

Marie McMorrow has joined intellectual property partner Frances Anderson and her team in Cobbetts’ Birmingham office.

While based in the firm’s Birmingham office, Ms McMorrow will be working with the IP team nationally dealing with all matters relating to intellectual property from exploiting IP assets to handling IP disputes.

She joins Cobbetts fom DLA Piper where she was also partner, responsible for handling intellectual property disputes on a national and multi-jurisdictional basis.

She also brings considerable experience advising on joint venture, collaboration and licensing agreements and commercialisation of IP assets in specialist sectors including manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, retail and medical devices.

I look forward to working with Frances and Keith Mills, head of commercial litigation Birmingham, to provide support to clients with IP requirements whether in relation to resolving infringement issues or commercialising their IP assets.”
