Shakespeares has appointed a new partner to its 70-strong insurance practice to strengthen the team’s expertise in handling large loss and other contested insurance claims for organisations in the public and private sectors.

Originally from Worcester, Craig Wallace joins Shakespeare’s Birmingham office. Mr Wallace has a background in corporate insurance having worked for global loss adjusting and brokerage houses in London, before moving north to take positions at Browne Jacobsen in Nottingham and latterly, Plexus Law in their Manchester, Deansgate offices.

He said: “Shakespeares has one of the largest insurance practices in the Midlands and I am looking forward to working with the team to continue to expand our offering and build on our expertise.

“As well as providing specialist legal advice on a wide range of insurance-related matters, I have a proven record in defending public and private sector organisations in complex and potentially costly prosecutions.”
