An accountants' training and support organisation has managed to get their own numbers so right that they are moving into a new £655,000 headquarters.
The 2020 Group, based in Knowle, has grown from a four-person operation eight years ago to 16 today advising over 6,000 practising accountants and over 75 per cent of the top 20 firms.
It offers software packages including updates on taxation and bespoke consultancy projects, and a large programme of seminars. Operations director Ollie Weber-Brown said: "Our growth has surprised even us. But it proves that we are providing a service that is valued by accountants."
The company was created from a merger of a training and research company - 2005 Research founded by Ian Fletcher - and a consultancy firm set up by Chris Frederiksen and Gordon Gilchrist.
Barclays have provided the financial support for the new premises located on Birmingham Business Park near the National Exhibition Centre. "This will enable us to continue our expansion, particularly the seminar business, and also to grow organically in other areas," said Mr Weber-Brown.
