A 30-year-old Midland law firm has acquired two family practices in north Birmingham.

HCB Solicitors, which has an office on Sutton Coldfield High Street, has acquired Eddowes Perry Adams & Roberts in Erdington and French & Co in Boldmere.

The practices will be merged under one roof in the French & Co offices by January 1.

HCB has taken over six legal firms in the West Midlands in the last three years and has offices in Birmingham city centre, Redditch, Alcester, Stratford upon Avon, Lichfield and Walsall.

Chief executive Mike Gahan said: “These acquisitions will mean we can boost our family private client and property services in the Sutton area and move towards building a base for our growing commercial work.

“This is an important move for HCB. We feel our customer focused business will be of great benefit in the Sutton area and and bringing together these two trusted legal practices under one roof secures our legal footing around the north of Birmingham.”
