The merger of Birmingham-based Shakespeare Putsman with Nottingham law firm Berryman was completed this week.

It creates a Midlands-wide firm employing 470 people with a turnover of £30 million.

The new region-wide firm, with offices in Birmingham, Stratford and Nottingham, is set to unveil an all-new brand in March 2011.

Chief executive Paul Wilson said the firm had ambitious plans for growth.

“Within the next three to four years, the strategy is to grow revenue to £50 milllion, by taking full advantage of our now very strong foothold in both the East and West Midlands and the creation of a leading Midlands law firm.” he said.

“The firm operates in a diverse range of practice areas, most notably property, dispute resolution, insurance and banking, corporate services and private client, with a number of high profile and long-standing clients, and our strategy maintains the focus on outstanding client service in these key areas to support the growth strategy.”
