The takeover of a long established Midlands fabricator has been advised in the region.

The corporate team at Higgs & Sons has assisted Boing Boing Group (BBG) on its acquisition of Reliant Products, which trades as Central RPL.

Central RPL was founded by the 2011 merger of Central CRC and RPL Tradeframes and specialises in glazing manufacture from its base in West Bromwich

Boing Boing Group founded Gary Morton said he had further plans to growth acquisition.

He said: “Central RPL is a business I am familiar with and was an obvious choice for our first acquisition.

“After a period of strategic development, which includes some ambitious growth targets, we will stabilise the team, implement systems and then proceed on to our second target. We will also further develop the group over the coming years with at least two further strategic acquisitions in the pipeline. Watch this space.”

Mr Morton will be joined on the Boing Boing board by Martyn Elwell, David Martin, of Thomas Nock Martin Accountants and Richard Griffiths, a partner in Higgs & Sons’ corporate team, who will take up the post of non-executive director.

Mr Griffiths said: “The core of our ethos at Higgs & Sons is to work closely alongside our clients and understand their business and the challenges they face.”

The deal was funded by Aldermore Invoice Finance (Ian Pincher) and HSBC (Victoria Emery).
