Solihull law firm Harris Cooper Walsh has agreed a merger deal with 150-year-old north Worcestershire practice Brownings Solicitors.
The firm will now be known as Harris Cooper Brownings after the deal was agreed.
Managing partner Mike Gahan said the Solihull-based firm would be expanding its operations into Redditch and Alcester as a result of the deal.
The link-up means that the re-branded Harris Cooper Brownings now has offices circling the south of Birmingham by stretching from Solihull to Stratford-upon-Avon, Redditch and Alcester as well as to Harborne in Birmingham.
Mike Gahan said: “Brownings Solicitors fits well into our portfolio of services. It is a family and commercial firm which has served the north Worcestershire area for many years and now we can bolster the existing commercial city expertise to their operation.
“Besides the specialists we have in private law, we have a team of corporate law experts second to none and we will be looking to extend that area of the company’s activities greatly in the north Worcestershire area.”
