Two teams from West Midlands law firm Higgs & Sons have supported an entrepreneur with the purchase of his next hotel.

Corporate associate Damian Beard and commercial property associate Stewart Coles worked together to support Talash Hotels acquire Honiley Court Hotel, in Warwickshire.

Built in 1592, originally as a farmhouse and later a public house, Honiley Court has 62 bedrooms, a restaurant, conference facilities and The Boot Inn pub.

Talash already has hotels in Coventry, Leamington Spa and Walsall Wood and it was the first time managing director Sanjay Kathuria and his brother Ravi had worked with Higgs.

The deal included buying the business and the property and transferring the current employees into the new company.

Mr Beard and Mr Coles said: "As a firm, we've worked hard to build a team which can deliver on a diverse range of projects.

"In this case, we worked together to cover several areas and we're extremely pleased to have delivered this project for Sanjay.

"The business has an exciting future and we're looking forward to work with the group in the future."

Last year, Higgs was ranked as the third most active law firm for corporate deals in the region according to Experian's annual report.

It is headquartered on Waterfront Business Park, in Brierley Hill, and has a second office in Kingswinford with more than 200 staff.
