Birmingham will play host to a gathering of global law firms next month, as Brussels-based elite legal network, First Law International, brings its members to the UK for their annual spring conference.

Over 40 leading legal organisations, clients and VIP’s from across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East will congregate on May 21 and 22.

The two-day event is co-hosted by two First Law International partners, Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co (UK) and Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co (India).

The conference will offer networking opportunities and seminars on current trends in the legal industry. Subjects include data protection, international arbitration, oil and gas, life sciences and litigation.

Businesses with an interest in the legalities of overseas trading and export are welcome to register to attend the seminars and a free networking lunch at the Council House Banqueting Suite on May 22.

Established in 2001, First Law International set out to create of law firm network to provide cogent advice to cross-border clients. The conference is now in its tenth year; this will be the first time it will be held in the UK.
