The College of Law in Birmingham has been given an award for students who worked for free at the TUC Centre for the Unemployed, the Best New Pro Bono Activity at the Law Works & Attorney-General Student Awards.

The Attorney General, Baroness Scotland QC, said: “I believe the desire to undertake pro bono work is inherent in every good lawyer; it is part of their DNA.”
