Hammonds has boosted its pensions team in Birmingham with the promotion of Sarah Franklin to the partnership.
Hammonds’ pensions team now comprises nearly 60 pensions specialists including 15 partners. The team has advised Cadburys, IMI, Veolia and Dollond & Aitchison on pensions issues and took a leading role on the Sea Containers litigation, the first case where the pensions regulator exercised its new powers under recent legislation.
Ms Franklin’s expertise is advising corporates and trustees on costs and legislation-driven exercises involving merging and restructuring pension schemes.
Ian Forrest, who heads Hammonds’ Birmingham office, said: “Sarah is an exceptionally talented solicitor and her promotion will add to the strength of our Birmingham office.”
