Midland law firm Wright Hassall has appointed four new partners internally – as reward for their part in its continued success.

The Leamington-based firm has promoted Christine Jackson, Gemma Carson, Claire Waring and Matt Cleverdon to partnership taking the firm’s total number of partners to 36.

The quartet was singled out for special recognition for their ‘significant contribution’ to the firm’s growth in recent years.

They will now take up the additional responsibilities that come with the prestigious position while continuing in their current roles.

Ms Waring heads up the residential development department, Ms Jackson is part of the commercial team – advising on commercial contracts for all kinds and sizes of businesses in the technology, retail, food and transport sectors – while Ms Carson is a litigation specialist with a particular expertise in litigation costs and funding options and Mr Cleverdon is IT director.

Nick Abell, senior partner at Wright Hassall, said: “I am delighted to welcome Christine, Gemma, Claire and Matt to the partnership.

“They have each made a significant contribution to the success of the firm over the last two or three years and their promotion reflects not only their commitment and loyalty but also their excellent legal, or in Matt’s case IT, and client relationship skills.

“In addition, Matt’s promotion to partner is a reflection that professional management skills, such as IT, are essential to a modern law firm and as such must be recognised.”
