Clarke Willmott has expanded its dispute resolution team at its Birmingham office.
Clarke Willmott has appointed Stuart Farr, who specialises in resolving heavyweight commercial and professional negligence disputes, joins from Laytons where he worked for six years as head of dispute resolution within their Manchester office.
Prior to Laytons, Mr Farr worked in the Birmingham offices of both Martineau and Pinsents. He is also an original founding member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers’ Association.
In his new role at Clarke Willmott, Mr Farr will focus on developing the firm’s services in relation to commercial disputes from its Birmingham office as well as continuing to practice in his other specialised fields.
Owen Williams, partner at Clarke Willmott, said: “Stuart has a national reputation in his specialised fields of expertise, which include equine and countryside law as well as within the UK’s gun trade.
“His appointment reflects our growth plans within commercial litigation, as well as within the Birmingham team. It also reflects our desire to recruit highly talented legal experts with the right skills and knowledge, something that’s critical to understanding the clients we act for and providing them with effective legal solutions.”
Mr Farr said: “I am delighted to be working with Clarke Willmott and, in particular, with such an enthusiastic and passionate team of people. It is also great to be back in Birmingham, a city close to my heart and full of opportunity.”
