The employment, pensions and benefits team of international law firm DLA Piper has been expanded with the appointment of employment lawyer, Emma Phillips, who joins the team in Birminghamas an associate.

Her arrival has seen the team grow to 20 lawyers providing legal services to local, national and international clients.
Mrs Phillips joins DLA Piper from Eversheds in Norwich.

Mrs Phillips is an experienced employment law advocate who has advised on a range of contentious matters, from contractual disputes (involving High Court injunction proceedings) to complex discrimination and whistleblowing complaints.

She has advised on the TUPE implications of major business transfers and the outsourcing of services on a group wide, multi-jurisdictional basis. She also has expertise in large scale re-organisations and redundancies.

Mrs Phillips regularly provides day to day advice and support to clients on a wide range of employment related matters and enjoys undertaking multi-jurisdictional projects as a result of her academic background in European law.
