The first quarter of 2008 has got off to a flying start for Staffordshire accountancy firm DJH.

It is celebrating with increased turnover and client growth and is now looking to push on with that success and boost staff levels.

Turnover is now £2.1million, up 33 per cent in the last two years, and there are 36 staff including four directors. Despite the forecasted economic downturn the number of clients won is up year-on-year.

The firm is now looking to recruit more staff in order to help with the expansion. It wants another five new people over the next year with immediate vacancies for personnel at all levels from trainees to qualified accountants and tax personnel.

The firm's directors are Paul Hulme, Chris Beardmore, Fiona Green and Brian Gilligan.  Mr Hulme said: "We believe DJH is one of the most vibrant firms in the local professional services sector. The expansion of the firm is the latest in a series of successful developments in DJH's capabilities across the region.

“Future plans are equally ambitious and we are planning to build on our local presence by offering more specialist services to clients."
