Shakil Najib, a barrister specialising in commercial and chancery matters, has joined Birmingham set No5 Chambers.
Mr Najib, who was called to the Bar in 1999, will be a member of the commercial & chancery, international and public law groups. His practice covers a broad range of commercial and chancery work with a particular emphasis on insolvency, company, and partnership litigation.
He has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency, claims arising from breach of directors’ duties, derivate claims, shareholders’ disputes and claims arising from the dissolution of partnerships.
Also disputes relating to the supply of goods and services, mortgages and the enforcement of guarantees and other securities.
Mr Najib was appointed to the Attorney General’s Regional Panel of Counsel in 2010 and is highly regarded for his work in representing government departments in judicial review claims.
