Law firm Clark Brookes Turner Cary has acquired the West Bromwich office of one of the Black Country's best known legal names.

The practice, which has offices in West Bromwich and Stratford-upon-Avon, has bought Millichips which now becomes part of Clark Brookes Turner Cary (CBTC) West Midlands network.

The undisclosed deal increases the total number of staff to 75 in the Black Country and Warwickshire.

The new-look firm will be known as CBTC Millichips and will be based in West Bromwich.

The origins of Millichips go back to the 1870s and the firm was famously the practice of Sir Bert Millichip, former chairman of West Bromwich Albion and The Football Association. It also has an operation in Solihull.

CBTC's managing director Richard Pinning said: "The acquisition of Millichips in West Bromwich is the next step in our plans to grow the practice in the West Midlands.

"We feel that this is a perfect fit in terms of client service, expertise and location. We are delighted to welcome Colin Viner and the former Millichips West Bromwich team to CBTC.

"I am confident that this merger will prove a winning combination for both clients and staff alike."
