1) If you could go back in time and have one conversation with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and what would you discuss?

Albert Einstein. I'd ask him to explain how the devil he came up with E=mc2.

2) Which single element of any city in the world that you have visited would you like to see transplanted into Birmingham?

I love the High Line in New York. It's a great creation of public space and it'd be fantastic to have an easy and beautiful walkway across the city. Above all, it's very cool indeed and would create a huge buzz about Birmingham.

3) Which technological innovation would you happily see consigned to history and what would you like to see invented which doesn't yet exist?

I would happily see electric hobs consigned to history. They are the bane of a flat dweller's life - really expensive to use and no temperature control so they burn food...or is that just my cooking skills?

I'd like to see a nuclear fusion reactor invented. We're facing an unprecedented energy crisis.

Nuclear fusion could be the answer - it would provide unlimited power without any carbon emissions and very little radioactive waste. Good luck scientists.

4) Think about who your ideal dinner guests might be but instead you can only invite their relatives. Who would you choose and what would you ask them?

President Obama - relative Michelle Obama. What obstacles has she faced in getting to where she is, how has she overcome them, and does she harbour dreams of becoming President one day?

The Queen - relative Prince William. Do you feel privileged that you will one day be King or is it a burden?

Jay-Z - relative Beyoncé. If you could have done any other job, what would it have been?

Hillary Clinton - relative Bill Clinton. What is the best decision and what is the worst decision you have ever made?

Brad Pitt - relative Angelia Jolie. What are you next plans for your humanitarian work?

David Beckham - relative Victoria Beckham. What challenges have you had to overcome to become a designer and how have you found it?

5) There are many 'National Days', some more obscure than others, but which one would you like to create that doesn't already exist?

I'd create National Job Swap Day. It'd be great to do something completely different for a day and see things from a different perspective. It might make people appreciate others more.
