Midlands law firm Browne Jacobson has successfully advised on six corporate deals in five days with a total value of over £100 million.
Corporate partner Gavin Cummings advised mid-market private equity provider Lloyds Development Capital and management on the £75 million financing package provided to the Britton Group and backed by HSBC Private Equity and HSBC Bank.
LDC supported the business in 2004 with a £35 million management buyout. Britton Group, which is based in Cheshire, is the UK’s second largest plastic film and associated products manufacturer.
In a second deal for LDC, the firm’s corporate team advised on its multi-million investment in Omega Red, the Nottingham based UK market leader in electrical earthing and lightning protection.
The firm also acted on four further deals which all completed within the same week including the disposal of Nottingham-based Woodward Developments to national pharmacy chain L Rowland & Company, the reorganisation of hosiery product manufacturer Ladkin Hosiery and advising marketing services company Media Square on the sale to management of corporate publishers Beetroot Publishing.
Nigel Blackwell, corporate partner at Browne Jacobson, said: "It has been a very busy few months for the team at Browne Jacobson and we are delighted to have completed these deals."
