Birmingham-based legal trainee Sarah Bolt has been elected to the national executive committee of the Junior Lawyers Division (JLD).
Ms Bolt, who works in the commercial litigation and insolvency team within the Birmingham office of Irwin Mitchell, began the role in December 2010.
During the year long appointment, Sarah will represent members of the division by helping to develop the organisation’s governance, policies and campaigns.
Launched in January 2008 for junior lawyers across England and Wales, the JLD is a division of the Law Society which represents all student members who are enrolled through the Solicitors Regulation Authority, trainees, and solicitors with up to five years active post qualification experience. The JLD also provides junior lawyers with support, advice, information and networking opportunities. It also represents the views of its members through lobbying and campaigns both internationally and here in the UK.
